Here is a brief history of how the silent prayer siege
came to be. "You shall besiege it...for I have assigned
you the same number of days as the years of their sin."
(Ezek. 4:3-5, NIV). After fifty days and nights of
intercession for justice and the Presidential Elections in
America, 70 young adults from THE CAUSE
(www.thecauseusa.com) went to Washington D.C. to
participate in a "silent siege" before the Supreme Court
building with red duct tape over their mouths, with the
word "LIFE" written on it. They stood in total silence to
identify with the silent screams of 45 million babies
aborted since 1973, and to repent for the silence of the
Church over this injustice. For 31 days, they stood, not
to protest but to pray. Armed with silence and a message
of "LIFE" duct taped to their lips, their intercessory
act appealed to a higher court and a higher Judge. Our
appeal is to the One who loves justice and is the
Champion of the most disenfranchised, marginalized, and
assaulted people group in America -the unborn.
